We have spent years putting together a select mare herd and stallion which we feel will excel in the arena. Never So Shiney "Woodrow's" colts that we are riding are athletic moving colts with outstanding minds. It all started about 11 years ago when Bailee acquired the - then - 18 year old barrel racing standout, Deck Jacks Susie "Shiney." Shiney was a 2 time Badlands Circuit Finals qualifier in the barrel racing, as well as a 6 time qualifier to the SDRA finals in the barrels and breakaway. We raised two colts out of Shiney, one of which is our stud, Woodrow. Before Bailee brought Shiney out of retirement, Shiney had been bred to Frenchmans Guy and produced Caitlin Benjamin's barrel horse "Frenchmans Lil Lady," who has Equistat Lifetime Earnings: $70,000+

Woodrow's sire is Never So Lucky, a double bred Lucky Blanton stud. Never So Lucky is a half brother to Blue Light Ike, the maternal grandsire of 2010 NFR barrel racing qualifier Nellie Williams' horse "Blue Duck." Rock said Never So Lucky was "one of the most athletic and cowiest horses he'd ever seen," so he hauled Shiney to breed to him and Woodrow was the result. Pat's main heading horse, Lucky Nevada Blanton, is an own son of Never So Lucky.

Caitlin Benjamin and Frenchmans Lil Lady beat out 599 entries at the Bar Nothin Barrel Bash, Ardmore, OK to win the 1D title and $2,886.

FRENCHMANS LIL LADY IS A 1/2 SISTER TO OUR STALLION, NEVER SO SHINEY. Our great old mare, Deck Jacks Susie, ("Shiney") produced Never So Shiney, Frenchmans Lil Lady and Go For It Girl (in our broodmare band) before her death at 24 years old.
